Car won't start
I'm having a major problem. The car will not crank over. My battery died a few days ago because I left the fog lights on all day. I jumped it off and it started. I drove it home and it was fine. I got into it a few hours later and it still started. The next morning it would not. I took the alternator out and had it tested it's fine. Checked for shorts and couldn't find any. The engine acts like it wants to come on but I hear a grinding sound. All my lights come on fine and do not dim when trying to start. I let it sit for the night and jumped it again then it fired right up. I drove it and it was fine all over again. Let it sit for a day and it won't start. It acts like it wants to crank over but it just won't. The whole time it makes a clicking noise.
Does anyone have any suggestions as how to tackle this problem? Starter/Solenoid maybe?

Dirty Battery connections maybe. Disconnect your battery (Negative first) and check for oxides on the cable and battery. Remove battery bolts from cables. If they are at all carroded, replace them with new battery bolts from your local auto parts store. Brush battery and cable ends and clean both with warm baking soda and water solution. Once clean, rinse with clear water. Reconnect positive then negative.

I guess I should have said that the battery is fine. It holds charge and will power everything. It's not very old maybe 6 months. When the car won't start I still get 13+ on the volts gauge. Which I find to be weird because it won't start after awhile without getting jumped.
