I have a 1992 Z28 305/700r4. Where should my timing be set at?

mines an 87 with the same setup, and mine is supposed to be 6* BTDC. under the hood there will be a sticker with that kinda info, itll be either on the underside of the hood or on the rad support.

Well, i have it set at 8-10* and it "seems" a little peppier.

well back in 87, they designed the 6* when running on regular gas. but the only real way to tell is to take it to a dyno, put some high octane in there, and do some runs. start at 6* and go up 2 * until your numbers start to decline, then retard it 1* until the numbers decline. that way you'll find your perfect timing.
