passing inspection
Ok i need to get my car inspected and i need some feed back. i have a 1991 firebird formula with a carbed 350. all that emissions **** is gone. i have SLP headers and Y pipe, a 2 chamber flowmaster muffler where the cat converter goes, and a american thunder catback. what kind of emissions rules apply for 91 vehicles. i know i need a converter, but maybe i can fool them with the 2 chamber. all the lights work and blink. the tires are border line, but i think will pass. speedo doesn't work, but i don't think they will notice cause they won't be driving it. my main concern is the emissions ****. what do you carb guys do to pass.

Re: passing inspection
what id do is scope out a smog station with a semi young person working there, and give him a bill or so off to the side so he can hook you up.

Re: passing inspection
I agree with the above. If thats not an option you will not pass and are wasting time trying.

Re: passing inspection
well i lucked out today. i got the car inspected and it ended up passing. only issue i had was i had to replace the rear pads and axle seals. 250 bucks later and now i have a pretty red sticker. now the only ticket i can get slapped with is speeding lol
