a/c removal on 87 iroc-z
So far I have removed the compresser, compresser belt and the lines that run to the drier(tin can looking thing) and the condenser of the A/C. With the lines, compresser and belt removed, I went to go start up my car and there is a loud sound coming from the engine bay and my car is idling rough and before I continue the removal of the A/C condenser and drier I would like to know why my car is running like **** and almost dying out on me... Also what that loud noise is coming from my engine. PLEASE HELP!! lol

Ya I actually knocked off a tube right near the intake body, plugged it back in, and it runs great again!! 
I do want to take the smog pump out of my car, can i just unbolt it and thats it? I got no idea what a smog pump does but I hear it robs power so I want it gone
