A quick question about a transmission

I have 2 engines and will be building one of the two. One is a 400 and the other a 350 both 4 bolt mains. Both out of old rv's and they have the 2 piece ream main seal. I have been looking for a donar car to get a t-56 and all parts out of to swap into my 92.

I have been told over the course of 5 days by 6 diffrent people that a t-56 will not work with a 2 piece rear main seal engine. I have not been able to find out for sure was hoping some one here knows for sure.

Thanks
Kip

Re: A quick question about a transmission

It will work fine as long as you use the appropriate flywheel to bolt to the 2 piece RMS crank.

Re: A quick question about a transmission

You would need this flywheel if you run a 350, or this one for a 400.

It's not unusual for 6 - or even more - people to be wrong. Remember that at election time.

get on the horn
And most likely, you'd have got 6 more wrong answers, from 6 more people who didn't have a clue what they were talking about but "thought" they knew everything...

Sucks to be a human. I've discovered since I've been assigned to this miserable planet, it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're stuck in the middle of a flock of turkeys.

When's your tour of duty over?

Tours of duty are irrelevant. Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated.
