Car: 1985 pontiac trans am
Engine: sbc 355 with comp cam and promag ro
Transmission: 700r4 with 2500 stall
Axle/Gears: stock 9 bolt for now.
new 350
i buying a new 350 to put in my bird and i need to know how to properly break it in. and i also need to know what is the best oil to put into the 350.

What type of lifters does it have?
For break-in, use a petroleum-based oil. For operation after break-in, use a PAO-based synthetic (AMSOIL, Mobil 1 {not the 5000 mile stuff}, Redline).

i dont know right off hand but i will find out about how long will it take to break it in or how many miles has to be put on the engine?
