fuel filter help

i am working on a 1988 camaro 305. when trying to replace the fuel filter, i stripped the outlet fitting. i was able to get the other side (inlet) off, but i dont know what to do about the outlet fitting. ive used pb blaster, vice grips, and the wrench i was supposed to use (5/8) which originally stripped it, but no luck. any ideas?

Re: fuel filter help

could always use a pipe cutter, cut it off, get a new fitting, double flare the end and install the new fuel filter.

two vice grips???

Re: fuel filter help

yea it def a last resort but one that would work none the less. Two vice grips and another day of pb blast?? Maybe try and hack the fitting off the fuel filter before you cut the line and maybe you can pb blast the fitting from the inside? I don't know, just a couple thoughts.
