I have a 1984 Z28 5-speed, and it did not come with a tansmission crossmember or a torque arm, i just need to know if they are all the same, like would a automatic crossmember out a 87 rs with a v-8 automatic fit my car, and the same for the torque arm?
thanks a bunch

Re: crossmember and torque arm HELP!!!!!!

Yes they are all the same; except for 82, and except that the "lips" at the end of the TA can either face TOWARD the trans, or AWAY FROM the trans; and the infamous "liquid filled" trans mount on some of the later 6-cyl cars, which you want to STAY AWAY from. But if you either get a TA that matches your TA bushing, or get the bracket/bushing assy off of a5-speed car to match whatever TA you get, then you'll have what you need.
