Definitely not the Xcelerator. The Performer RPM is a tight fit under a stock hood and it won't bolt to your stock heads without modification.
If you're not changing the basic motor you really just need an entry-level aluminum intake designed for idle-5500 kind of RPM range and easy fit under the stock hood. Oh, and if it would fit the 87-up intake bolt pattern of your heads without modification that would be a plus.
Here's such an intake for reasonable money.....

Summit house brand intakes are all made by Weiand but with a Summit logo put on them in place of the Weiand logo.

you asked this and already got answers. The rpm is a good manifold for your application, you will probably need a drop base air cleaner.

Re: INTAKE MANIFOLD HELP!!!! GOIN CRAZY
The Xcelerator is a single plane intake- you don't want that with a mild 305.
I stated why not the RPM. Go ahead and use it if you like, just be aware of the potential issues you will have putting it on your motor and fitting it under the hood.
I will stand by my recommendation, above.
Please don't double-post the same question in multiple forums in the future.
