difference between cam/valvetrains?
difference between cam/valvetrains?
So, as you guys have noticed probably, i'm inexperienced with engines, and such. I'm wondering what the difference between hydraulic flat tappet, mechanical rollers, hydraulic roller cams are. and, what the pros/cons are.
and, what the L98 engines are.

L98's use a hydraulic roller cam.
See my sig, there should be a link to a quick tech article I wrote with some basic info on that exact topic. Read it, and post back any follow up questions you have.

Re: difference between cam/valvetrains?
Thanks, i really appreciate the help. It clears alot of things up, and i'm thinking about pocket porting my L98 plenum, runners, base plate. fabbing some hooker/heddman headers(welding bungs/fitting AIR tubes), and hopefully make a 'better car' for the money then what i can buy?
