car wont start...oops

so i got a new battery for my 82 trans am. while the alcohol was flowing i maybe put the battery in backwards. only cranked it a couple of times bafore it clicked what i had done. Now she wont start. cranks fine...I've got fuel...what would be a good place to start looking to fix this problem. the gauges work fine and the lights all come on. its a 30 over 305 carbeurated.

LOL, WOW the alcohol must have really been flowing. The amount of sparks flying from the battery when you were trying to hook it up backwards did'nt clue you in?

not a single spark...and everything else controlled by the ECM works fine...just got no power to the ignition coil...is there a fuseable link or an inline fuse anywhere between the ignition switch and the coil. There is one connector "C100"...and a splice "S201". but the wiring diagram doesnt say anything about a fuse anywhere...should i run a hard wire from the battery to the coil to see if it will crank or could i do more damage that way?

You are sure theres no power to the coil? Have you done the ol' pull the coil wire off(the one that's like a plug wire) and put a screwdriver up to it and see if you get spark from it trick?
