oil unit how tight?

well, all need to know how tight to tighten sending unit? i've read on here hand tight and some say torque it down. ty for reading

Not real critical...

I'd say, use the "auto pipe thread sealer with Teflon", and put about 12-15 ft-lbs on it. More than hand tight, but far less than a gorilla. Just a light pull on the wrench.
