LT1 fuel rails
Hey guys,
I know this might be a dumb question but does anybody know if LT1 fuel rails will fit on a TPI intake?
Thanks!

Re: LT1 fuel rails
I would have to say no too... on the LT1, they are designed to sit above the manifold, and with the TPI rails they sit "inside" the manifold (under the plenum, between the runner sets), so they more than likely will not interchange. Feel free to guinea-pig for us though! Be interesting to see if they did work.
Just out of curiousity, why do you want to know if they change over? Is there something inherently better about the LT1 rails over the TPI set? I'm somewhat familiar with the LT1, but my 3rdgen is carb'd and I never paid much attention to TPI 'detail' stuff like this, so I don't know.

Re: LT1 fuel rails
I don't know of any advantage but they are cheap and available. I need a set of 24lb injectors and rails that exit the fuel lines to the driver's rear. I know that I can buy the injectors and modify stock TPI rails but I thought that if LT-1s worked it would be cheaper. The rails are straight and they look like they mount in the same location but I think the regulator might interfere with the 5-7 runners. I have Vortec heads and as much as the base manifold will cost I may as well just sell my TPI set up and put a HSR on it. I have a billet Accel 58mm TB for it already. I was just liking the lower torque and hp peak of the TPI because my project is a 2000 Tahoe Limited that is a daily driver and is also used to tow my race cars on a trailer. The Hoe has a supercharger, MSD 6A BTM, KenneBell Boost A Pump, stainless headers with Flowmasters and no cats, electric fans, ported MAF, upgraded injectors, Nelson tuned ECM and a cold air intake. If I can get it into the 12s I'd be happy and surprise quite a few people. The stupid stock Vortec intake manifold with the injectors mounted inside the plenum and only being able to fit 19lb injectors is killing me on being able to crank the boost up more than 6 psi. I have to pull about 2-3 degrees of timing out per lb of boost to keep it from detonating. I'll include a few pics of it so you see what I have. The belt is off the supercharger because my wife has been dring it while I work of hers.

I'm pretty sure you can use stock LT1 injectors with a TPI rail. They fit up just fine from what I'd heard....?
