Will not Idle at start up and dies, need help

Ok so here is the deal, I have an 86 2.8L V FI Camaro. In order to start it I have to give it gas and then it just dies after I take my foot off. It does not matter if the engine is warm or cold. after i drive it for 1/2 a mile it will idle. but before the 1/2 mile it will die every time i have to stop. I replaced a broken vacuum line but it did not change anything. I changed my fuel filter and that too has done nothing. Occasionally when driving it will cut out and be unresponsive to to the gas pedal, even when pumped. Is this a fuel pump problem? Timing problem? clogged injectors? bad throttle positioning sensor? It looks like the previous owner has tampered with the throttle sensor. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

well what exactly is wrong with yours? If it was my distributor wouldn't it have a rough idle all of the time? Or is my computer compensating for the bad spark after I drive it for a bit?
