Re: Read this help me quick

The heads should fit and flow fine. Problem with puting the 350 heads on your 305 is your combustion chamber will now be larger, thus dropping your compression (bad thing).

2.02/1.60 valves will hit the cylender walls on a 305, u need a 4" or larger bore for that size valves to work

Re: Read this help me quick

If you have a stock LG4 short block, your compression ratio will be approximately 7.3:1 with those heads. If the engine has been rebuilt, it'll possibly be even lower still.

Probably not a good idea.

Flow will be bad; even though the valves probably won't actually hit the block (they might, but probably won't), they'll be so close to the cyl walls, that they may well flow LESS THAN the stock 1.84" 305 valves, because at least the material can get around the edge of the smaller valve. Doesn't matter if the cam lift is .700", if the gases have to flow through a .050" crack to get from the port to the cyl.

Probably not a good idea for that reason, as well.

There is no possible scenario in which it's a good idea.

Re: Read this help me quick

Do a search, nobody on this board has ever hit the cylinder wall with a 2.02 valve.

If they have it has not been posted.

Lots of other reasons not to 350 head a 305.

No improvement there. Still a bad idea.

Smogger heads are best melted down and forgotten.
