All of my fuel lines are heavily corroded comming out of the tank. I can replace the main line easily enough at the fuel filter to the tank, but the remaining lines run the full length of the car and finding fuel lines longer than 6' seems to be impossilbe. I was considering just cutting and replacing the corroded sections and using a 1/4 npt female to female coupler to connect the new and onld sections of the lines. Would this be an appropriate fix?

Anyone have a good source for long sections of fuel/brake lines? And couplers.

You can buy 25' spools of 3/8 and 5/16" steel hardline at Napa, or the like. Call first to make sure they have the size you need in stock. Buy a good tubing bender, it makes life a lot easier.
Summit also has that in aluminum tube, now THAT makes life easy. Then buy an inverted flare kit and you're good to go. Summit can get you completely set up if need be.

Don't use NPT parts, they have a small ID and will restrict the flow.

 

I have a line flaring kit and I have a good bender when I was making smaller sections of brake line. The trouble now is just trying to find the parts I need.
I will check out summit and see what they have available.

 

Aren't the stock lines 1/4"? I found the summit Al line, but they are 1/2".
