*URGENT* TGO HELP!!!!
Ok, I'm about to take my Firebird from Pennsylvania to Alabama. Yesterday my speedo came uncalibrated, this was my fault. Now I need some help fixing it. Here's what I did to screw this whole thing up.
- I took apart my dash to get to my Speedo because the odometer broke last summer.
- Took off the needle, but when i did my hand slipped and i spun the thing all the way past 140
- Put it back together and the odometer worked for 3/4 mile and died then I noticed my Speedo wouldnt go above 40 mph and I was doing about 80.
Now, here's what you need to know. It's electric, that means there's no cable. This is definitely the Speedometer, NOT the cable. Any suggestions or ideas are much appreciated....especially since I leave in 3 days.

I would look up to see if there are any speedometer shops in your area. the other thing I would do, since you "must" leave in 3 days is have a friend pace you. That way you'll know what RPM's you're running at what speed. 30, 45, 65, 70. write them down along with what gear you're in at the time. It's what i had to do on my old 67 when the speedo died until I could get it repaired.

Re: *URGENT* TGO HELP!!!!
if push comes to shove get you a GPS from wally world and return it when you get here.......LOL its pretty accurate, just normaly a second for it to catch up, looking foward to seeing you here, we got our meet at the end of this month if you are setteled in
but the idea of a friend pacing you and writing down the MPH to RPMs would work also and be cheaper
