The New 400 Lives!!
Well, after much frustration, time, and money, I finally got the car started today and boy does it sound nice. I suffered through a number of self inflicted problems but I seem to have prevailed and tomorrow I will put it back down on the ground do a test drive. I had it running for sometime to build heat set the timing and check for leaks and such, and I am happy to report no runs, no leaks, and no errors thus far. Timing is really happy at 16 BTC and throttle response is crisp with no hesitation. I finally get to enjoy some driving before the season runs out on me.

I know all too well about self inflicted problems with my 400. I hope to get mine on the road again this week. Congrats.

Congrats! Looking at your sig - looks like a nice setup you have. What's the duration on the cam? No oil leaks - nice bonus.

Re: The New 400 Lives!!
Thanks for the replies, as for the cam, it is a Trick Flow retro hydraulic roller that with 1.6 roller rockers comes in at .563/.574" and .230/.234" @.050" and 110 LSA. After taking the car for a test drive this afternoon all I can say is this going to be really fun. This thing pulls hard and when the torque convertor hits its stall speed of 2800-3000 it just flat goes. I do have an oil leak that has appeared at the back of the pan, not sure if it is the pan, a valve cover, or possibly the intake at the china rail, which has always been my problem area when I put an intake on, seems I never get a big enough bead of slicone on the rail. The engine has a slight lope to it and vacumn for the brakes seem to be ok, I have the timing set at 16 degrees BTC and the idle at about 750 rpm in drive.
