replacing heads 87 305

i have a 87 305 ,ive switched it to carb from tbi my question is can i change the heads to the older non centerbolt style? if yes do i hvae to change anything else?

First, I'd like to establish (as in your thread on the Carb forum) whether this really is/was an '87 TBI. '88 was the first year for TBI in 3rd gens (other than the '82-'83 Crossfire, but that was a different animal altogether).

Those heads are fine. They have the same 160 cc intake ports as the L98 TPI 350 heads. The intake valves are 1.84" vs. the L98 1.94" intake valves, but until you do more than install a carb, that isn't going to be a problem.

Edelbrock makes a Performer and Weiand makes an Action+ intake for the '87-up bolt angles.
