Re: car is haveing a hard time starting when warm
I having a similar problem with mine. Just yesterday i was able to hook it to a scanner. The coolant temp sensor told the ECM that it was 248 degrees. The car had only been on for about 2mins. The gauge in the dash read 100-120 degrees. If you car's temp is above 235 (or if the ECM thinks its over that) the ECM will richen the car up. I'd look at a scanner to verify this. I'm changing my coolant temp sensor ($18) tomorrow and hopefully getting it back on the scanner friday to see if this fixed the problem. Send me a message and i'll let you know how it goes when its off the scanner.
Re: car is haveing a hard time starting when warm
im pretty sure my car dosent have a ecm its a 1988 with a rebuilt old 305 v8 with a carb so im pretty sure that wont do it for me
Re: car is haveing a hard time starting when warm
i was thinking vapour lock but this problem only happens after i shut off the engine, it runs fine on the cold fire. but like i said after i shut it off it wont start, then could it be vapour lock still since the problem isnt when its running and warm only when its off and warm?
