Car feels like its underload please help
I have a 82 TA with a 84 305, the motor when I got it was pretty stock with a quadrajunk, we think the motor might have a slight cam tho. Anyways moral is it didnt run when I got it, changed the oil, new fuel pump and it ran fine and had some *****!. Over some time now though i put on a new Weind intake, a USED edelbrock 650CFM carb, new plugs and wires and I put in the correct vacuum advanced distributor that was also used. (had a computer controlled originally.) ever since this though it just doesnt have should i say *****? It seems like sleddy...If i try and do a brake rise it just isnt all there. the car runs a bit rough right now i know it needs to be tuned, my friend tried to mess with that and the timing and got it better but it just doesnt run right....Im thinking somethings wrong with this carb? is it to big? maybe new coil? i know one of my plugs is also kinda burnt up from leaning on the manifold...I figure do new wires, coil anyways...maybe need be another carb? it has stock exhaust i know thats restricting it alot...but i just want it to run good and strong its going to be a everyday driver. thanks guys

Did you rebuild the carb? What's your vacuum at idle? A 650 should be fine if it's running right.
