My '88 Trans Am won't start. It's cold outside, but it started yesterday. (Though I could tell it had a hard time) What Should I do to start it? (I need to move it over a street to my garage!)

I started it up, and it would putter for 5 seconds and shut off, I guess it was warming up because it would then run for 10seconds but if I gave it gas it would shut off.

Help please.

 

Any codes? If there are then I would start there. If not check the fuel pressure.

 

Engine light is on, and some sort of pressure gauge is around 30 out of 60. I figured the engine light was on because of it's cam, running rich, and other mods without a tune.

 

It could be if it was on before having the problem. A new code on top of the other codes would show up if there were a reason for it. I would scan the codes to see if there is anything obvious before doing too much work or throwing money at it hoping to get lucky.

HMM.. Didn't notice it as I was typing but looks like there is a joke there
