timing cover moving in and out when engine is running

just got my car running and i noticed right away that the timing cover is moving in and out like somthing is rubbing on it inside the cover, any ideas what would make this do that ,its a 1992 camaro rs 305 v8 and i can see some oil leaking out from under the balancer not alot though i think its from the timing cover

Sounds like you need to tighten your cam retaining plate. It's 2 torx bit bolts behind the timing cover.

if my timing chain or set is going bad does anyone know since it has a crane compu cam aftermarket cam if it still uses the stock timing set or diff
