Depends which heads they are. 2.02 valves are generally too big for a 305.

I'm thinking that will probably hurt performance or not do much for it. First off with those size valves you can only go up to .450" lift and the valves are shrouded anyways. They might flow more air to make more power, but I believe 305 heads use a 58cc combustion chamber so it will be losing a large bit of compression.

I heard you can't use 2.02 heads on a 305, something about the valves hitting the cylinder walls?

2.02 valves on a 350 are fine, but again it depends what heads they are to know if they're worth it.
