Do you know what this is??
I found it tucked back behind the distributor, not bolted to the firewall or anything like it appears it should. There was a two wire connector hooked up to it on the bottom (couldn't see where they ran - back down towards the tranny somewhere) with 2 hard plastic vacuum line ports on top (one missing completely, the other you can see still connected in the pic, but one is broken off).

It mounts under the coil. It has an electrical connector on it and two vacuum lines. I'm guessing a previous owner thought it would run better or produce more power without the EGR, but he was mistaken. This thread might help:
