i have an unknown part, could anyone tell me what it is?
i have just bought a 95 firebird and it have some sort of round filter coming out of my valve cover behind the egr valve, have no idea what it is or what its for? Is this suposed to be there and if so what is it called so i can get replacement.

Could either be a breather for the valve cover or maybe you're looking at the PCV. It's a small tube that comes from that area behind the motor and plugs into the air filter dish.
