84 Berlinetta
Friend has one, 305 4 barrel, works fine at up to 50 mph, will run without a problem. When he drives it on the highway at say 60-70mph, it quits. It will restart if you turn the key off and then you can run it a while up to 100mph, then after a bit, it quits again.
Digital dash, all original car with 100,000 or so miles. Canadian car if that makes any difference.
The fact it restarts must mean a sensor somewhere? Do they have many or a computer?
Thanks for any replies.

Welcome aboard thirdgen.org.
Electrical, yes. Sensor, probably not (most Canadian-delivered base V8 3rd gens weren't computer controlled, hence no sensors, making it extremely unlikely). More likely something in the ignition - power wire (pretty common), ignition module (pretty common), or coil (pretty common, often accompanies ignition module).
100 MPH, eh? I assume this isn't the German autobahn.
