Would these parts work?
I have a 1986 camaro with a 350cid engine installed at the dealer. I beleive the horses are somewere around 245bhp - not 100% sure. I am going to beefing the engine up and am trying to get near 300 horses out of it by the end. It has an automatic tranny, and has dual exhaust if that makes any difference.
Im putting these parts I am considering to order :
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-G9005/ 1 1/2''Headers with 2.5" collectors
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/EDL-1405/Application/?prefilter=1 600cfm carb by edlebrock
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-K1105/Application/?query=Engine+Size|5.7L%2f350|Camshaft+Usage|Street%2fStrip
Street cam Hydraulic Flat Tappet, Duration 282/292, Lift .465/.488
what kind of increase can i expectout of these parts?

way too much cam, too small carb, the headers depend on what else you decide. That goodwrench 350 is rated at 8.5:1, but is really under 8:1, and the heads don't flow well enough for that cam, plus you'd need the exhaust guides cut down. For a cam, consider COMP's DualEnergy265 to be your upper limit. You could use the carb and headers you chose with this cam.

First, you're going to have to have more exhaust work done to mate up with the headers... unless there are headers already on the car. I can't give you any power gain numbers. All those parts are fine. Not sure on the cam though. I know nothing about carb sizing... sorry.
That cam is big. The cam I went with is about the same lift, but less duration. I'm fighting the torque converter pretty hard at idle in gear. You might need to get a higher stall converter. With a carb you might have an easier time with tuning than I am.
That's about the only way I can help you out. If you do get those in I think you would be at 300 easy. But your going to run into the limit of the intake and heads then.

Heck, the OP can get 300 with what I said. If anyone else is not there, despite a bigger cam, then they have some mis-match or tuning issue.
