Roller motor or not???

Roller motor or not???

In my 79 malibu wagon is a 88 camaro engine, so i'm able to use my badass moroso 7pt pan for the one piece rear main but my buddy game me a cam from his 79 camaro,its hyd and I wanted to know if my 88 305 camaro motor is a roller cam or not.??????

An '88 passenger car engine should have been a roller - Everything from 1987-up. Even the 1987+ truck blocks were cast with the provisions for a roller, but some were built as flats.

Personally, I'd stick with the roller.
