Intro/Need Help with idle pls
Quick intro lol. I'm Danny and I live in toronto, on, Canada. I have a 91 camaro Z28 350 (auto) completely stock minus the flowmaster muffler.
I've been having problem with my idle for about a month now. I'll try my best to describe it.
Ok when I start the car it idles abit rough but fine. When it starts to warm up the idle gets rougher and if I put it drive and move it and stop the car starts to lunge forward and idle like crap. It also bogs right before it starts to move
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Danny

Well for starters welcome to the site I'm sure with a little diagnostics work and some help from your new friends you'll get her up and running like a champ again. For starters any engine codes or check engine light?

thanks for the welcome.
Ok there was no check engine light but when I jumped pin a+b together to try and set the IAC code 12 flashed. Does that mean the ecu is dead?

Nope The code 12 you will always get when you short the diagnostic terminal to ground. Its assumed to be kinda and everything ok code flashing that if nothing else just to let you know your diagnostics are working. Technically its no pulse reference from the distributor which makes sense as the motors not running but for now lets just assume it as an everything OK code lol. Now generally speaking when you have a bog it means its eather running lean or the timing is off. Needless to say lets start simple and cheap. Ide check out the timing if you haven't done a tune up in a while may be even pull the distributor cap and see how things look. The next thing ide check for is is pull a few spark plugs and note the color.

Alirght so I pulled the plugs and they are a light brown color. I reset the IAC and now it doesn't bog but hesitates when I take off and if i'm at partial or half throttle. Could that be my TPS? or could that still be related to my timing being off?

Could be timing could be the TPS could be a few things still. Ide say start with the easy stuff the timing is easy to check and so is the TPS so you could check them out and see how it looks.

Re: Intro/Need Help with idle pls
ok so timing
vvvVv and if I open the throttle it moves one more v to the left.
.*
So is my timing ok?
