Is this how my car should be acting
I wasn’t really sure if this is the place to post this question, so if its not, I apologize.
I just got my car about a month ago (1988 Iroc, 350, 3.27, all orig., 75K miles) I still have to fix the running rich problem, the maf sensor code (34) I’m getting, and check the cat, i think it may be clogged.
My question is, when at a stop if I punch it, I only get like a "squeak" from the tires. I’m thinking my car doesn’t have the pickup it should.
Is it just me, or is there something wrong with my car.

Re: Is this how my car should be acting
Definitely something wrong. Mine's an '87 with 100K more miles on it than yours and I can light them up w/o any problems.
I've been troubleshooting a code 33 so I feel your pain. 34 IIRC is a low voltage signal from the MAF so check and clean all your connections. There's a number of troubleshooting guides on here. Follow them. Don't go throwing parts at it like I did. Don't ask.
Good luck.

Thanks for the reply man. Im working on getting it running perfect. I thought something might be wrong, and I hope that once I get it to run a little leaner and fix the MAF problem it will run the way its suppose to.
