I assume you mean going from hydraulic roller to hydraulic flat tappet.
Don't forget you'll need a different timing set.
My advice would be to sell the 268 and lifters and buy a hydraulic roller (unless your engine was severely abused or neglected, you can reuse roller lifters on a new cam).
If you insist on using the 268 and flat tappets, you need the longer stock push rods.

Re: cam swap?
dont forget youll need, flat tappet timing chain, very expensive flat tappet brake in oil (I would use it imo), new push rods, obviously new gaskets then you have to reassemble everything. So you spend 170 for the cam n lifters plus $35 for good break in oil(high zinc n phosphorus) plus $20 for pushrods so your at $225 plus alot of your own valuable time and now you have a less efficient valvetrain. Or for an extra $40 you can get a roller cam. Also is there any head work done to allow more lift than .470 ?
