Re: spark plugs

I think most guys just use AC Delco R45TS plugs. I use R45LTS plugs in my Vortecs at least (same thing just they're a bit longer to fit into the vortec chambers.)

Re: spark plugs

+1 for R45TS

But I bought some RAPIDFIRES. Still would recommend the R45's.

Re: spark plugs

I had the Bosch Platinum+4 in my show car for about 6 years, but only put on about 5,000 miles during that time. I pulled them out last week to check them and they were dark brown on half the electrodes (2) and medium brown on the other two. The car ran fine but I bought the ACDelco Platinum Rapidfire #2 plugs this time. One of the reasons for putting in the platinum was because I have the Edelbrock TES headers and putting in plugs is a REAL PITA. Even with a modified plug socket, these plugs were also a 1/2" longer than the Bosch design which made for a real tight fit. I did notice that my 1/4 mile times and mph were off slightly, but since the car ran smoothly I didn't think the plugs were at fault. Now that I pulled them out I can see they may have been part of the problem.

Re: spark plugs

I only use AC Delco or Accel... I had problems with other plugs... I have headers I might add and it takes a few times longer than it would with manifolds, I now only use Accel Shorties... ...
