Timing Light

Timing Light

So I have never checked ignition timing on a car that doesnt have the degrees by the crankshaft balencer.


On my 305 tbi how am I supose to read the timing with my timing light?

That engine should have the timing tab on it. If it isn't there anymore, someones removed it (possibly during a rebuild). Should be able to see it by sitting right over the engine and peaking down behind the waterpump.
