Help my daily driver won't start!
Hello guys,
I've never been in a no-start situation with my car until now.
Last night I was driving home, and while playing music, I saw that all my lights (interior and exterior) were going dim, and anytime I hit the brakes, the other lights would go dim...
I looked on the voltmeter thing in our cars, and it was all the way up in 18! In the red zone! Also my stereo kept going off and coming back on.
I didn't think anything of it, and went home and parked it. Of course, when I go to it this morning, no start.
No clicking or anything, just won't start. Turning does nothing. No cranking noise or anything.
I changed the battery with a (what I believe) is a working battery, still no sound. The battery I know is good, because it was pulled out of a car that was working fine.
Does this sound like an alternator problem? If so, will the alternator from my 2.8 firebird work in the IROC? I believe the alternator is very small though (like 60 amps)
THank you!

Omg lol I feel so dumb.
