ok i am not too familiar with the trans am's as this is the first i have owned. But here goes, when i hit the brakes, the light for the rear defoger come on and stays illuminated for a few seconds after i let off the brakes.... what can be causing it?

Check your connections to the defogger in the back window. They can come loose and cause this. I had to re attach mine today. I can tell when the come loose, cause the switch will light up with out touching it.
