i put a three new injectors in from an 87 iroc, i think they are boshi type, the other 5 are multec, i got it running pretty good, put 2.5gallons in an it ran for about 30mins tops an seems to be out of gas again, it seems to be smokin black stuff, could the injectors be stuck open an cause it to use tons of gas? another thing is does the gas pump run all the time, i can hear mine running like buzzing sound from tank while it sits an idles, what the fix for this if that no suposed to run all the time, thanks

 

Lol, yes, your car is powered by an electric fuel pump, which means it's running while the engine is running. (How else would the engine be fueled??).

I am not familiar with TPI engines, however, it is possible that the injectors can be leaking, make sure that you've installed them correctly.

A TPI guy should probably jump in and give some advice.
