have a local guy on craigslist that has these cheap. i have an 89 L98 bird and im not sure if everything will line up correctly. thanks for any answers

Yes, only issue is they are set up for 90 deg. intake bolts, not 72 deg. middle ones. Nothing a little grinding won't fix.

You just have to 'ovalize' the two center bolt holes on each side of the manifold. There are special angled washers you should also be using, but I can't remember who makes them now. They are intended just for this exact thing.

The other thing you can do is find an '85/86 F-body intake base, or one that came off a Corvette with the aluminum headed L98. Both of those used the old-style bolt pattern where all the bolts are at 90* like those Sportsman heads are.

Either way should work just fine.

Ah right I forgot about that... I'm not having a good day here lol.

The early base will bolt right up, or you can grind out the holes in your existing base.
