Alternator Clicks?

Ever since day one its sounded like my alternator was making a clicking sound. Well today i took off my belt to replace it. i bumped the alternator fan with my shoulder and it clicked. So then i turned it with my fingers and it clicked when it was spun. Is this the sign of a bad alternator? Thanks guys.

Re: Alternator Clicks?

Sounds like maybe a bad bearing inside.

Re: Alternator Clicks?

Bearing, or your stator could be worn out causing a bad connection in a spot.
