wont start unlessed bypassed?

Ok so i have had problems with my z28 at first it was the fuel pump so i replaced and it started for its first time in three years then i found out it wouldnt idle so i fixed the tps and idled great. But now i have another problem the car wont start unless i bypass the starter and start it manualy what could be the cause of this problem any help i would appreciate or if i need to give more info as well.

Sounds like maybe the starter enable relay is bad - it's usually under driver side dash, sometimes behind the black goo at the hood release - should have a large yellow, small yellow, large green and a black with yellow stripe wires (4 total).

Oh ok thanks im taking electrical classes right now, and next week were gonna go over how to learn to see the diagrams since right now i dont know how to understand the diagrams at all , but thanks for the link i will check that right once i learn how to read those diagrams.

could be the relay, or the solenoid itself. working at an auto parts store the solenoid is usually the case. hope this helps.

Oh alright thanks ima check the relay first since that would be the easiest were is it located at do you happen to know, and how would i check the solenoid?

alot of times if u take a screwdriver to the posts on the solenoid and it fires up, means the solenoids bad if you had to bypass that.

most older fords have an external solenoid instead of one starter mounted and those are known to fail as well, as far as the relay location im not actually to sure.

Well we bypassed it by the wire that goes toward the solenoid would it be like the same thing?

Alright well i tested the starter and already and it was all good so any other ideas of what it could be?
