Where do I begin to look

Not really a serious issue, when I start the engine 350 tip it starts then goes real low....like its almost going to stall till I give it a short hit of gas then its fine....
On acceleration sometimes it sort of lags before power comes and even then its not to its potential. I have been having some issues with the fuel pump running. I was told to check the oil pressure relay next time it acts up.
When the pump was still (car off)on I heard like a low hissing noise coming from this gage up by the tpi A gage I have never seen before on these engine's....I unhooked the fuse thing (by the battery right?) and the pump and hiss was still present. It wasn't until I unhooked the battery that it went away.

I will post a pic of that gage latter

the second photo of gauge is when engine was running....... I was also wondering why this gauge is here in the first place?

Re: Where do I begin to look

It's an aftermarket fuel pressure gauge that someone installed on the schreder valve. The hiss could be a sign that it's junk. I would let the fuel system depress and remove it, replace it with another schreder valve and see if your issue goes away... but if it's right your fuel pressure isn't bad.

Re: Where do I begin to look

I think 350 TPI (stock) run around 45 PSI at priming and drop into the high thirties while running.
