Have an 87 camaro with and engine swap from v6 2.8 to 89 v8 350 carb. Been redoning the body so the car has been sitting in a garage. I start it every now and then to pull out of the garage. Now when I turn the key I get nothing. No dash light. Its like on power getting through. Battery is good and head lights come on. What I need to know is where to find the ignition switch or what fuses I should check and where to find them. Right now I have the steering wheel off and can pull the key unit out, I just don't think it has any thing to do with that. Need help soon. The car is for my son and he will be taking driver test soon. So I need to get this thing running again. HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!

 

Check your starter connections. You should be getting power down there. The spade connection (mine was a purple wire) should also be hooked up. Without that the starter is not going to kick in.

Theres also some grounding wires that needs to be attached for the gauges to work. I attached mine behind the passenger side head. That hung me up for weeks before I finally managed to trace it down.
