sometimes starting problem

ok so i did a few searches but nothing like this, ok so my car dose start eventually. what happens is hot/cold dont matter turn the key dash comes on fuel pump everything seems fine but all i get is Click!. so i keep turning it sometimes wiggle it and then it will fire right up. car is a 6speed with the natural safety switch hooked up.. also if i turn the key and get the click! if i peddel the clutch if will fire up. this also seems to occur more in warmer months.

what i need is a good idea of where to start? should i set up a button to start it and by pass the key/clutch pedal. or dose anyone else maybe got a better idea? IE bad starter somthing in the column or pedal? also cars vatts were deleted i believe.
thanks!!

Re: sometimes starting problem

Sounds like an issue with the neutral safety switch - might not be connected all the way, or it might be wiggling itself loose from the connector. Grab a rubber band, or some electrical tape, and tape the connector securely to the NSS and see if it solves the issue.

In my automatic car, I have the same issue - the NSS doesn't stay plugged up to it's plug well, and thus I hit a bump or something, it comes loose, and the next time all I get is a click when trying to start. I secured my connector to the NSS with several rounds of electrical tape and solved the issue.
