89 CAMARO 305
i pulled the motor to do pan gasket and chain,detent cable,took a/c stuff out
car is getting fuel
starter spins
and spark(timing light)
is at tdc pretty sure(timing light flashed when mark on balancer showed 11 degrees on timing tab
some one please help me fast

 

What kind of carb? You replaced the timing chain? Did you have the distributor out?

 

carb isnt prob didnt touch it or flip it just removed and layed aside,did remove distributor,but pretty sure i put it in right,timing light flashed close to 11 degrees on timing tab,and i made sure to line the rotor and the num 1 spark plug connector up on cap and when i was rotating car to tdc,i checked that both rockers on no.1 cyl were loose to confirm tdc any ideas

 

maybe 180 off due to having tdc on exhaust stroke?

oh man...lol it is 180 off...when timing the exhaust valve was just closing which means the intake was about to open,sorry for wastin time

 

so to get it back to compression stroke can i gett it at tdc on exhaust stroke,then pull dist. out spin crank full 360 untill timing mark lines up again(will it be on tdc compression stroke?),and drop dist in ,then gett it timed.also whats the factory timing for a 91 305
