Kinda feel dumb asking this.
How long would it take to swap or rebuild a motor into a 90 formula?
I don't know whether to buy a new daily driver or just work on what I have now. It's always something new going wrong with this and with my new job I actually have to show up so I want something reliable.

Haste makes waste. I know, old saying ... but there's a reason it survives.
If you already have a motor to ready swap, that can be done in 2 weekends and a few week nights (the actual motor can be swapped in a day, but needs a day's prep to remove old motor, and several days to work out the bugs).
AND - nothing ever happens as fast as it should - hell just trips to the parts store to get those "last few things" can easily eat up 15 hours!
I highly recommend snagging a $400 beater off Craigslist! I love my $400 beaters!

Exactly what I was thinking about doing. Buying some beater as my DD while I build up the bird.
