96 350 vortec block/ 91 350 l98 block

are these blocks the same or are there differences?
reason i ask is i have a l98 block from a 91 camaro i was going to build for my 85 k5. i found an assembled vortec block really cheap. but it has no timing chain cover, oil pan, ect.. its just the shortblock. i have all that on my 91 block
and was wondering if the 2 were the same befor i bought it. its cheaper then buying a rotating assebly for the 91 , or all the missing parts for the vortec block if all the parts interchange.
both are 1 pc rear main blocks, and hydrolic roller blocks.

thx for your help

Re: 96 350 vortec block/ 91 350 l98 block

something o forgot to ask...

is the flywheel bolt pattern different?
i know the vortec motor had a 4l60e behind it, where my other block was a 700r4
i know with like the ls1 motors you have to change some parts for a 700r4 to work behind one. any weird issues like that with one of the vortec blocks?

Yeah I lived there for a while but never that far east. I did work in C'ville for a couple of years though.

Bolt pattern on everything is the same.
