Car: 86 camaro
Engine: 305 carb
Engine stops after being put in to gear
I got 86 camaro with carbed 305 it starts up but when I put it in to gear it just shuts off Any ideas?

Needs a tune-up... new plugs, cap, rotor. All new fluids. Find all the visibly broken or missing or hacked stuff and fix it. Basically, all the "new to me" car stuff we all go through. Nothing specific to "these" cars, yet.
Start there. Come back after you get that done and we'll start troubleshooting.
