need help wont crank
I have a 89 with 2.8 the car will not crank not one bit of noise the battery is good and alternator is new what is the problem I drove it to the store then when I tried to start it the lights came on then nothing

does it turn over at all? could be a blown fusible link.

check all the connections at the starter and try giving the starter solenoid a couple of love taps, see if there's any change. may have a bad starter, but you'll need to do a bit more testing to see where the weak link is

Is there a light on your dash that stays lit, and reads "Security"?

Run the positive cable from the battery to the starter. See if there is any bare spots or "swelled" areas. A swelled area would indicate corrosion which could be your problem too. If you find that, a new cable is in order.

Make sure your battery cables are nice and tight, especially the negative. if it makes no contact(sound) could be your ignition module.
