Found a 89 GTA 5sp, need some input

Hey all.

I am looking at a summer fun-car while I'm working at my client site, and stumbled upon a 89 GTA 5sp with 88k miles.. cleen enough to eat off of, in California.

I wanted to get some honest input.

He is asking 5k for it. I've driven it, and its in pretty good shape all around. The rear spoiler isn't even cracked, paint all looks new, no paint lines or marks. The interior is okay, rear seat looks like the top leather has warn off and the headliner needs to be replaced.

Anyway, is that too much for a 89 GTA 5sp?

Also, thoughts on a v6 5sp 98 camaro? which would you rather rock?

Well if we are comparing a V6 and V8 fbody, i have to ask why we are even comparing in the first place lol. V8, hands down of course.

88k isnt a whole lot of miles at all, especially on an 89.

It sounds like what little work the car needs is all small stuff, so it shouldnt be hard to fix. If you like the car, and have the money for it, i say go for it.

yeah, I'm just paranoid that the power of the 5.0 GTA will be unimpressive.

I'd go with the GTA. I've always loved those cars.
