Canister Removal Help.....
Ok so in a continued effort to continue & unclutter my engie bay I'm in the process of removing the canister. I've already done the smog pump, air tubes, etc...
So today I remove the canister & to my surprise one of the lines I thought was a vacuum line has gas??? Here is a pic:

The valve I am pointing to went to a rubber line that is clamped into a metal line. To my surprise, that valve goes to a fuel line???? Can I still remove the canister, do I just plug the fuel line? It does not look presurized....PLEASE help! Thanks!!!
PS The top long line goes into the TBI; I just plugged that one at the TBI base.

That's what vents your fuel tank.
Removing the canister is the point where I have to draw the line in a "declutter".

Re: Canister Removal Help.....
I did some research & I guess the solution is capping the fuel line & getting a vented fuel cap. However, I've hit 3 part stores & no luck (on the fuel cap). So I may be with you five7kid, it may be more trouble than it's worth. I still have all the components & would take me 5 minutes to put it all back....

well... you can always do what I am doing... I moved my battery to a different location, removed my rad over flow and am making another canister to mimic the vapor canister so I have one on matching sides of my engine bay which actually will improve the look and somewhat de-clutter the engine bay by a bit.

Re: Canister Removal Help.....
yea I sure will. I also did some other things to the car to clean it up. Tore out the fan motor and AC and make a LARGE delete panel that covers the whole passenger side from the middle of the fire wall over. also made a couple of delete panels for the sides where the battery box was and where the charcoal canister is now. Really cleans things up by hiding the inner fenders.
